Restaurant Manager Matteo Zappile leads the brigade of five carefully selected team members who, with the utmost professionalism, guide and accompany the guests of Il Pagliaccio on an interesting journey of the senses.
Since 2011, the winery has been headed by Matteo Zappile, today flanked by Luca Belleggia who, as a result of his curiosity and passion for this world, knows how to select labels from everywhere, focusing on really “new” and consolidated options.
The wine list now has 1300 different wines to accompany Chef Genovese’s dishes, and received the award for “Best menu of Bubbly in Italy” in 2014 by the guide in L’Espresso.
Born in Marche in 1990, he entered straight into working in the tourism sector. After graduating with a diploma in hospitality, he continued his education by attending the foreign language university that led him to travel and work throughout Europe. In Burgundy he learnt that wine is exciting, and this sparked the flame of his future experiences. AIS Sommelier and then WSET at Il Pagliaccio.
